Craft's shoe line is newer than its clothing, and it's compact: road shoes like the Endurance 2 and Pacer, road-to-trail shoes like the Nordlite Ultra, and trail shoes like the Pure Trail. We think of them as solid everyday trainers. Read the notes on each page for the specifics.
The Pure Trail line and the Endurance Trail are the trail shoes. Craft says the Pure Trail X has a high-traction outsole for rocky descents and mud, and the Hydro adds a waterproof upper. If you split time between road and trail, the Nordlite Ultra or Xplor are the road-to-trail options.
Craft says the Nordlite Ultra has waterproof protection. The Nordlite Speed is a road shoe and Craft doesn't advertise it as waterproof. Check each product page before you buy, since details can change between versions. Our shop team can help if you're unsure which one fits your terrain.
We don't have a brand-wide rule, because fit differs by line. Each product page has a size chart. If you're between sizes or run long distances, try the larger one. Returns are free for 30 days in Canada and the USA, so swapping sizes costs you nothing.
Craft is a Swedish brand. Anders Bengtsson founded it in 1977 in Borås, a textile town in southern Sweden. It began with base layers for sport and now covers clothing for several sports, plus running shoes. The shoes we sell are the current Craft running and trail line.
Craft has belonged to New Wave Group since 1996. At that point the brand name changed from Craft of Sweden to Craft of Scandinavia. Today the company is called Craft Sportswear and is still based on its Swedish roots in Borås.
