How to choose your La Sportiva shoes

  1. Start with the activity. Hiking boots (Ultra Raptor II Mid), trail running shoes (Bushido III, Prodigio Max, Cyklon), approach shoes (TX2 EVO, Boulder X) and climbing shoes (Futura, TC Pro, Kubo, Solution) are different tools. A trail runner won't give a boot's ankle support.
  2. Decide on Gore-Tex. GTX in the title means a Gore-Tex lining, which keeps water out but is warmer and less breathable. For dry summer trails or the gym, a non-GTX shoe is often more comfortable.
  3. Think about width. La Sportiva makes wide versions of some models, for example the Bushido III Wide. What we have in stock varies, so look at the size selector on each product page.
  4. Climbing shoes fit tight. They're meant to fit snugly, and many climbers go smaller than their street size. Our 30-day free returns let you swap if the first size is wrong.

La Sportiva: frequently asked questions

Is La Sportiva a good brand?

We can't rate it for you, but here are the facts. La Sportiva is Italian, founded in 1928 by Narciso Delladio, and still based in Ziano di Fiemme. It started with boots and clogs for farmers and lumberjacks and now makes climbing, trail running, approach, hiking and mountaineering footwear.

Where is La Sportiva from?

La Sportiva is Italian. Narciso Delladio founded it in 1928, and the company is still based in Ziano di Fiemme, in northern Italy. It started with boots and clogs for farmers and lumberjacks before moving into mountaineering, ski boots and, later, climbing and trail running.

Is the La Sportiva Ultra Raptor II waterproof?

The Mid Leather GTX version has a Gore-Tex lining, so it's waterproof. Not every Ultra Raptor II is. The women's trail running version in our shop has no GTX in the name. Check the product title for GTX before you order.

Where can I buy La Sportiva shoes in Canada?

At WOOKI. We're a Canadian online shoe store in Gatineau, Québec, with 76 La Sportiva styles from $74.99 CAD to $354.99 CAD, covering hiking, trail running, approach and climbing. Shipping is free in Canada (except YT, NT and NU) and the USA, with no minimum.

Does WOOKI sell authentic La Sportiva?

Yes. We're a Canadian retailer in Gatineau, Québec, and we buy straight from the brand and its authorized distributors, so every pair is 100% authentic. Shipping is free across Canada (except Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut) and the USA, with no minimum and 30-day free returns.

Do La Sportiva shoes run true to size?

Climbing shoes fit tighter than street shoes by design, and many climbers size down. Trail and hiking shoes are closer to your usual size. Every product page has a size chart, and our 30-day free returns let you swap if the first size is wrong.

Does La Sportiva make wide shoes?

Yes, for some models. La Sportiva lists wide versions of the Bushido III, for example. We don't stock every width, so look at the size selector on each product page. Climbing shoes are usually made narrower and fit snugly on purpose.

What are La Sportiva approach shoes?

Approach shoes are for the walk to a crag or a scramble over rock. We carry the leather TX2 EVO and the Boulder X, plus TX3 and TX Hike styles. They're more rugged than a hiking sneaker, and the Boulder X and TX2 EVO come in men's and women's versions.
