How to choose your Pajar winter boots

  1. Check your coldest days. Most Pajar styles here are comfort rated to −30°C (−22°F), which covers a normal Canadian winter. Pajar's own site says its warmest collections go down to −40°C, so check the rating on the product page.
  2. Think about ice. On icy sidewalks, look for the Ice Gripper or Get-a-Grip lug soles, or for models with "ice gripper" in the name.
  3. Pick a style and height. Quilted alpine boots (Cyra, Valentina) are light and casual. Leather boots (Gavel, Trooper 3.0) look sharper. Sneaker boots (Fenwick) are the lightest of the bunch.
  4. Check the fit. Fit changes from style to style, so read the size notes on each product page. Between sizes? Our 30-day free returns let you swap with no risk.

Pajar boots: frequently asked questions

Are Pajar boots waterproof?

Pajar's winter boots have seam-sealed uppers, and its leather styles are pre-treated to repel water and stains. The Gavel adds a Pajar-Tex waterproof membrane. The Tatiana rubber rain boot is made for wet weather rather than deep cold. Each product page lists the details for that pair.

Is Pajar a good brand?

We can't rate it for you, but here are the facts. Pajar is family-owned, was founded in Montréal in 1963 and still has its own factory there. It became the official footwear provider of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team in 1989. Most of the styles we carry are comfort rated to −30°C (−22°F).

Are Pajar boots good for snow?

Most of the Pajar winter boots we carry have seam-sealed uppers, a traction lug sole and a comfort rating of −30°C (−22°F). For slush and icy sidewalks, look at the Ice Gripper or Get-a-Grip soles. Check the rating on the product page for the exact pair.

How warm are Pajar boots?

The Cyra, Toboggan 2.0, Gavel and Trooper 3.0 are comfort rated to −30°C (−22°F). Pajar says its warmest collections go down to −40°C. The rating is on each product page, so check it before you order, especially if you stand around outside a lot.

Where are Pajar boots made?

Pajar started in Montréal in 1963 and still has its own factory there. The company also makes footwear in Canada, Europe and Asia, so it depends on the style. Some listings, like the Baffio, are labelled Made in Canada. Check the product page for each pair.

What is the Pajar Ice Gripper sole?

Ice Gripper is Pajar's thermal rubber traction lug sole, made to grip icy streets. Other Pajar boots use a Get-a-Grip or toboggan lug sole. The Valentina has the Ice Gripper sole, for example, and some men's styles say ice gripper right in the name.

Do Pajar boots run true to size?

It depends on the style. Every product page has a size chart, so measure your foot and compare. If you're between sizes or plan to wear thick socks, size up. Returns are free for 30 days in Canada and the USA, so swapping sizes costs you nothing.

Does WOOKI sell authentic Pajar boots?

Yes. We're a Canadian retailer in Gatineau, Québec, and we buy straight from the brand and its authorized distributors, so every pair is 100% authentic. Shipping is free across Canada (except Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut) and the USA, with no minimum and 30-day free returns.
